Welcome to the South of England Lionhearts Website. The South of England team was set up in 2005 to play the North of England. This game is just one of the many pathways towards the full England Lionheart side.

 

Since that first Origin game in 2005 the South of England has developed and now plays regular games against the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy as well as playing the old enemy the North of England once a year.

 

Players who wish to trial out for the South of England Squad must first come through a regional selection process. The Regions are set into East and West and your club location will dictate which region you play for. Every year the East plays the West in May and the best performers are selected for the South of England Squad.

 

Don't worry if your not sure about the standard of the play as we also have East and West Reserve grade teams who also play on the same day. If your unsure about how good the standard is then these squads are a great place to start your Rugby League Representative career.
